The context: Becoming the owner of your blog hosted on Le Temps by migrating it to Webflow
Foliosophy, directed by Marie-Claude Sawerschel, is a Blog dedicated to philosophy applied to various aspects of life such as body and mind, science, society, and education. The client wanted a website to share her articles and thoughts in an accessible and engaging way. The creation of this blog had to meet the needs of its readers while maximizing its visibility to the greatest number of people.
The main challenge was therefore to migrate all your articles to Webflow in order to be able to manage its publications independently. While maintaining the functionalities of the previous website.
Objectives
The goals of creating this blog were:
1. Offer a pleasant reading experience : Create a website that is visually appealing and easy to navigate to encourage readers to explore the content.
2. Structuring content intuitively : Organize articles by categories to facilitate access to information.
3. Improving reader engagement : Through comments and shares on social networks. To do this, a comment plugin on Webflow (Hyvor Talk) has been integrated into the site in order to engage user interactions.
4. Integrate a search engine : Facilitate the search for articles and keywords via Webflow's native search engine
5. Add Finsweet attributes : Several functionalities such as the reading time of an article had to be added in order to correspond as much as possible to what is expected of this type of website.
Results
- Increase in organic traffic : The blog saw a increase in organic traffic thanks to effective optimization.
- Increased reading time : Visitors spent an average of 50% more time reading the articles.
- Increased engagement : The number of comments and shares on social networks has increased.
- Higher ranking on search engines : The blog reached high positions for targeted keywords and regained the lead on the old site.
- Faster load time : With a complete optimization of the images on the site, the loading time of the pages has significantly decreased for an improvement in natural referencing.
